River erosion. Collapsed bank of a flooded river. The river is carrying so much sediment from other sites upstream that the water is coloured brown. Stones carried in the water can help to erode soil banks like this. Photograph of the Whanganui River on North Island, New Zealand, after a period of heavy rain.
