Balance Rock rock pedestal, Arches National Park, Utah, USA. This sandstone formation has resulted from erosion by wind and rain. The top, tiangular shaped rock is formed of the harder Kayenta sandstone and has eroded more slowly than the bottom layer, which is formed of softer Navajo sandstone.
