Changtse, Khumbu ice-fall and Everest. Changtse, the north peak of Everest is 7548m and lies on the Tibetan side of the the mountain. The Khumbu ice- fall is a river of ice forced between the walls of Everest's west ridge and Nuptse, and drops for 1000m to the Khumbu glacier.
