The Himalayas. View of the Himalayan mountains on a clear day. The mountains and their surroundings have a modest covering of snow. At upper centre clouds can just be made out above the peaks. The Himalayan mountains are the highest mountain range in the world. Over thirty of the peaks are over 25,000 feet (7620 meters). One such peak Mount Everest (not shown here) is 29, 028 (8848 meters) high and is the highest mountain in the world. The Himalayas are located on the boarders of Pakistan, India, Nepal and Tibet.
