Fish River Canyon in Namibia. This canyon was formed by the Fish River as it eroded a rocky plateau. The canyon is 161 kilometres in length and up to 27 kilometres wide. Its maximum depth is 550 metres. It is the second largest canyon in the world, after the Grand Canyon in the USA.
