Four cotton bolls (Gossypium sp.) on a single branch. The boll or seed-pod of the cotton plant contains the cotton fibres. Once opened the cotton fibres dry out and can then be spun into a yarn. This many bolls on a single branch is indicative of a good yield. Photographed in Arkansas, USA.
