Narcissus flowers. Fields of Narcissus flowers, Narcissus sp., grown commercially. These flowers like moisture and sunshine, and tend to flower in the early spring. The genus Narcissus is named after the handsome Greek youth who was so entranced by his own reflection in a stream that the gods turned him into a flower. Photographed in Holland.
