Insecticide research. Bags of grain set up in a granary as part of an experiment investigating the effectiveness of the insecticide Spinosad. Spinosad is a chemical compound whose active ingredient is derived from the bacterium Saccharopolyspora spinosa. This type of insecticide combines the efficacy of a synthetic insecticide with the benefits of a biological (natural) pest control.
