Sydney is the capital of New South Wales State, and is the most populous city in Australia. The main part of the city lies between Port Jackson (blue, upper right) & Botany Bay (lower right), to the south of Port Jackson. Both of these are inlets of the Tasman Sea. The runways of Kingsford Smith International Airport extend into Botany Bay. The Prospect Reservoir is seen at upper left.
