Hong Kong. Skyscrapers in the financial business district of Hong Kong, China. This view looks from Victoria Peak on Hong Kong Island, across a narrow strait of water, to Kowloon on the mainland. There are hundreds of skyscrapers in Hong Kong, and the tallest are found in the financial district. Here, the tallest is still being built (centre left, in the background with scaffolding). This is called 2 International Finance Center, and was built from 1997-2003. The population of Hong Kong was nearly 7 million in 2003, with over 6000 people for each square kilometre.
