Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Satellite image of Abidjan, the largest city in and former capital of the Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire), West Africa. Abidjan is a major sea port and its industries include food processing, lumber and the manufacture of textiles and chemicals. Although Yamoussoukro became the capital in 1983, most government offices and foreign embassies remain in Abidjan, along with the national library and museum.
