Coastal litter from a storm. Family walking along a coastal path among litter deposited by a large storm. Some of the objects can be dangerous and need to be disposed of with care. Other objects, such as those made of plastic, take a long time to degrade naturally and can damage the environment. The litter has reached this path due to a storm surge in which high winds combined with high tides to produce extreme conditions. The storm, rated Force 11, took place in October 2004. Photographed on the Cornish Coastal Path, St Loy's Cove, Cornwall, UK.
