Totally degradable bag decomposing. This bag, also known as the 100% degradable bag, contains additives that cause the plastic to start breaking down after 18 months. In 3 years the bag will have totally broken down into water, carbon dioxide and a small amount of minerals. The bag does not require any external action to start or help with the degradation process and so will decompose wherever it is discarded; an advantage over biodegradable bags.
