Pollution monitoring. Scientists weighing a dead ringed seal. The seal was hunted by native Inuit hunters. The scientists will retrieve a sample of seal meat to analyse for evidence of pollution. The Inuit hunters use seal meat for food and the skin is used to make waterproof clothing. Photographed in Qaanaaq, Greenland, in 2006.
