Tusks and horns. Collection of rhinoceros horns and elephant tusks from animals that have died naturally. The horns and ivory will be destroyed as part of an international policy to stop the poaching of elephants and rhinoceroses. The tusks of African elephants (Loxodonta africana), as well as the horns of the African black rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis) and the African white rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum), are bought for carving and for use in Asian medicine. Photographed in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
