Knossos Palace archaeological site. The compartments in the floor and large terracotta pots were used to store grain and produce. Knossos is a large Bronze Age archaeological site and is thought to be the ceremonial and political center of the Minoan civilization. The palace was discovered by Minos Kalokairinos in 1878. Photographed in Crete, Greece.
