Megalithic menhir monument, Filitosa, Corsica, France. This upright stone is a monumental megalith, which is part of a group of monuments at the Filitosa site. They were erected around the beginning of the Bronze Age and were thought to have been used to ward of invasions. There are about twenty menhirs in total each standing at around 2-3 metres in height.
