Ancient Egyptian artwork. Painting found on the wall of an Egyptian tomb. This tomb is part of the Valley of the Mummies, a six kilometre stretch of tunnels and burial chambers carved into the sandstone of the Bahareya Oasis, Egypt. The paintings on the tomb walls illustrates ancient Egyptian mummification techniques. They also depicted the last judgement, when the souls of the dead are judged by the gods. The tombs date back to around the third century A.D. during the Roman occupation of Egypt. Photographed in the Western Desert, Egypt.
