Northern Cygnus starfield. Optical image of stars in the northern part of the constellation of Cygnus. This area is rich in red hydrogen nebulae. The nebula at centre left is the North America Nebula (NGC 7000), so called for its resemblance to the shape of that continent. The bright star at centre is Deneb (alpha Cygni), a very luminous and remote white supergiant star. North is at top.
