Blood sampling tubes. These are vacutainers (tubes containing a vacuum). They are used together with a needle (not seen). The needle is used to pierce a patient's vein (venepuncture), and the vacuum in the tube draws blood out of the vein. The blood is then analysed and checked for disease.
