Seminal vesicle. Light micrograph of a section through the seminal vesicle showing the complex mucosal folding. Pseudostratified cuboidal epithelium overlies the loose connective tissue of the lamina propria. The seminal vesicles are a pair of glands situated on each side of the male urinary bladder that secrete seminal fluid and nourish and promote the movement of spermatozoa through the urethra. Magnification: x100 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
