Lily of the valley. Flowers and leaves of a lily of the valley (Convallaria majalis). This plant, as its name implies, is native to valleys in Europe, apart from the extreme north and south. It is now cultivated the world over, for its attractive and fragrant flowers. It flowers from late spring to early summer, and prefers shady conditions.
