Neptune grass (Posidonia oceanica). This marine flowering plant is found only in the Mediterranean Sea. It is an important part of the ecosystem, as it provides habitat and food for many species. It is threatened by the accidental introduction of a tropical green alga (Caulerpa taxifolia) in 1984. Photographed off Levant Island, an island off the French Mediterranean coast.
