Genetically modified cow's milk. Researcher pouring milk into a test tube after milking it from a cow's udder (right). This is a genetically modified form of the Jersey dairy breed of cow (Bos taurus). This work is being carried out at the Bio Sidus biotechnology company, in Argentina, which successfully cloned a cow in 2002. The cloned cows are intended to be genetically modified and used to produce human growth hormone (hGH) in their milk.
