Research scientist using a multichannel pipette to apply labelled antibodies to a multiplate immunoassay as part of an immunodiagnostic test for a parasitic disease. The research is being done in the Molecular Biology Laboratory, Department of Pure & Applied Biology, Imperial College. Studies are being carried out on parasitic organisms causing major diseases, such as malaria (Plasmodium), toxocariasis (Toxocara) & brucellosis (Brucella). The work centres on immunological research & the development of effective vaccines.
