Antibody research. Researcher uses a micropipette and light to select a single antibody-secreting cell. Antibodies are proteins that are part of the immune system. Here, SLAM (Selected Lymphocyte Antibody Method) technology improves antibody selection. Candidate antibody-producing cells can be rapidly screened to find the cells producing the best antibodies. SLAM technology can simultaneously screen for both antibody binding and functionality. The process now takes weeks rather than the previous timescale of months.
