Cryopreserving seeds using liquid nitrogen. Plant physiologist lowering a container of seeds into a vat of liquid nitrogen. This freezes the seeds, which slows down chemical reactions and prevents aging. They can be thawed and germinated in the future, when required. This research took place at the US Agricultural Research Service's National Seed Storage Laboratory in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA.
