Influenza research. Technicians working in high security (level 4) isolation cabinets. The cabinets are sealed and the technicians work with their hands inserted into heavy duty gloves. The cabinets are under negative pressure, constantly extracting and filtering any contaminated air within them. These cabinets are used for work with the most dangerous of microorganisms, in this case the influenza virus. Photographed at the World Influenza Centre at the National Institute for Medical Research, Mill Hill, London, UK.
