MODEL RELEASED. Molecular physiology research. Dr Keith Barr preparing petri dishes in a fume cupboard. The petri dishes are used for the culture of rat muscle tissue for physiological research. Dr Keith Barr is a lecturer of Exercise Biochemistry at Dundee University, Scotland. Research by Dr Keith and his team at the functional molecular biology laboratory focuses on two areas of musculoskeletal development and adaptation. They are concerned with both the transcriptional and translational effects of exercise, and in methods for engineering functional musculoskeletal tissues in vitro.
