Scorpion research. Male biologist studying a scorpion (order Scorpionida) under ultraviolet light. The scorpion and the biologist's white coat fluoresce as they reflect the invisible ultraviolet light at a longer visible wavelength. Scorpions mainly feed on spiders and insects which are grasped in their large claws before being disabled with a venomous sting.
