Cell storage. Researcher removing cultured cells from a cryogenic (cold storage) unit. These cultured cells are from tissue biopsies and can withstand storage in liquid nitrogen at -196 degrees celsius for up to five years. The cells are used in research into the origins of cell disorders such as cancers. Photographed at Leiden University Medical Centre, Leiden, The Netherlands.
