Scanning electron micrograph of a grain of brown rice, Oryza sativa. Rice is the seed of the plant. Husked rice is known as brown rice. This can be further milled to remove the outer layer, including the aleurone & most of the embryo, after which it is polished to produce white rice. Rice is the second most important crop in the world after wheat. Magnification: X 28 at 10x8 inch, X 4 at 35mm size.
