Olive oil is obtained from pressed olives, and sunflower oil from the pressed seeds of the sunflower. Both oils are healthy alternatives to the oils and butters containing saturated fats and which are now known to affect blood cholesterol and contribute to heart disease. Olive oil is high in monounsaturated fats, and sunflower oil in polyunsaturated fats.
