Sausage & beans. Top view of two well-cooked sausages, glistening with oil, on a bed of baked beans. Eating too much fast food, or food rich in fat, can cause health problems. Fried food and red meat like sausages is rich in saturated fats, which can cause raised blood cholesterol levels and attendant risk of coronary artery disease. Fast food is often short of fibre, which increases the risk of dietary problems like constipation and disease of the large intestine. Baked beans, however, are an exception to this rule.
