Fabric knitted from nettle fibres. Fabric woven entirely from stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) fibres and dyed pink. Stinging nettles have traditionally been used as a herbal medicine and tonic, but it is now cultivated to produce fibres for textile manufacturing. The high fibre yields and easy growing conditions make nettles an attractive alternative crop.
