Forensic training. Scene of crime officers (SOCOs) approaching a dummy representing a dead body as part of a training course. The SOCOs are wearing protective clothing in the form of paper suits, overshoes and masks to prevent contamination of the crime scene. Metal platforms are used by the SOCOs to walk across the site, preventing destruction of evidence. Photo evidence markers can be seen, numbered '26' and '10', which will help the SOCOs recall the position of evidence when looking at photographs of the crime scene. SOCOs provide scientific support to police forces. They establish what evidence is required from a crime scene and the best way to obtain it.
