Handprint forensics. Computer artwork of a glowing handprint, with human shadows in the background by a window. Just like fingertips, the palm of the hand makes a unique print that can be compared to those found at a crime scene. Glass windows are a good place to look for such prints. Biological materials, such as human sweat, can be located by using fluorescent dyes, visible under ultraviolet light. This can help locate the fingerprints and handprints that can help police link a suspect to the scene of a crime.
