Albert Einstein and David Ben- Gurion (right). The German-Swiss-US physicist Einstein (1879-1955) is famed for his mass and energy equation, as well as his theories of Special and General Relativity that rewrote the concepts of gravity, space and time. Ben-Gurion (1886-1973) was the first Israeli Prime Minister. Einstein won the 1921 Nobel Prize for Physics.
