Flock house virus particle. Computer artwork of the capsid of the flock house virus (FHV), with proteins represented by coloured blobs. The capsid is icosahedral (has 20 triangular faces), measures about 30 nanometres in diameter, and is composed of 32 capsomer proteins. The flock house virus is a member of the Nodaviridae family, being small viruses that carry their genetic material as RNA (ribonucleic acid). It kills the New Zealand grass grub insect.
