Man suffering from acromegaly, a condition which results in an increase in the size of the hands, feet & face due to an excessive production of the growth hormone somatotrophin. The overproduction of the hormone is caused by a tumour of the anterior pituitary gland. The tumour can be treated with X-rays or surgically removed.
