Caption

Angioma tumour. Light micrograph of a section through an angioma in the tongue. An angioma is a benign (non-cancerous) tumour resulting from an overgrowth of blood vessels (pink). Although non- cancerous, the presence of such a mass of blood vessels can cause frequent and profuse bleeding, and the growth is usually removed surgically.
