Asthmatic boy using the "Babyhaler" inhalation device. A boy with asthma uses an inhaler with a "Babyhaler" adaptor attached. This device makes it easier to use an asthma inhaler. The inhaler spray is first delivered into the clear chamber. The spray can then be breathed in freely through the valve in the mouthpiece. The device is intended for children up to the age of 4. Asthma is a disorder of the bronchial tubes which causes recurrent breathing difficulties. It is normally a childhood disease. The inhaler relieves the symptoms of asthma with a measured dose of medication administered by an aerosol mechanism.
