This colour enhanced sagital (lateral) MRI image of the cervical spine shows a congenital fusion anomaly involving the C5 and C6 vertebral bodies. This is called a block vertebrae. The congenital fusion is red. The other vertebrae are blue. The spinal cord, medulla and pons are light purple. The cerebellum at the top of the image on your right is dark blue.
