Discharge from nipple. Close-up view of the nipple of a woman's breast, showing an unidentified examatous discharge. The discharge is yellow and appears wax-like. The nipple may exude a discharge for a variety of reasons, and it may occur during pregnancy, breast-feeding, hormone imbalance, or disease. A discharge of pus indicates a breast abscess, whereas a bloodstained discharge may be due to fibroadenosis or cancer.
