This coronal (frontal) T2 weighted MRI image of the brain shows an arachnoid cyst along the convexity surface of the right frontal lobe with remodelling of the adjacent calvarium. These are benign intra-arachnoidal collections of CSF (cerebral-spinal fluid) that have localized mass effect on the adjacent structures.
