Secondary intestinal cancer. Sectioned gross clinical specimen of a secondary malignant (cancerous) tumour (neoplasm, centre) of the small intestine. This cancer originates elsewhere in the body before it transfers (metastasises) to the small intestine. Cancer of the small intestine is rare and treatment involves surgical removal along with anticancer drugs.
