Skin cancer on the ear. Close-up of a squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) skin cancer on the ear of a 90 year old woman. SCC causes the formation of a large ulcerated area, and may spread to other parts of the body. In its early stages it can be treated by surgical excision, but when more developed, radiotherapy or chemotherapy are required.
