Smooth muscle cancer after treatment. Leg of a 59- year-old male patient six weeks after surgery to treat leiomyosarcoma, a smooth muscle cancer. Leiomyosarcoma is a rare cancer that arises from smooth muscle cells and can occur anywhere in the body. The tumour was completely surgically excised and a skin graft was placed over the wound.
