Brain cancer. Gross specimen of a brain affected by a secondary cancer (grey). Secondary cancers are those that have spread from another site in the body. In this case the primary tumour was a carcinoma of the breast. Once cancer has spread through the body, a process called metastasis, the prognosis is generally poor.
