Cancer cells dividing. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of bladder cancer cells dividing. Cancer cells divide chaotically in an uncontrolled manner. They may clump to form tumours and invade surrounding tissue. The cytoplasmic projections and blebs (nodules) are typical of cancer cells.
